Inspiriert von architektonischen Tragwerkskonstruktionen entstand die Sitzfläche des Stuhls ee08 als räumliche Struktur aus einem Verbund flacher Bauteile. Die mehrfach gekrümmte Freiformfläche wird dabei lediglich durch Zuschnitt und Montage biegsamer Flachmaterialien gebildet und übernimmt außerdem die Funktion der Polsterung.
Inspired by architectural supporting constructions, the seating surface of the chair ee08 was developed as a spacial structure composed of a bond of flat materials. The multi curved free-form surface is built through the simple cutting and assembling of flexible flat materials and simultaneously serves as padding.
